Sketch of the Children’s Program for 2008

 

Staff Note: Please note that this information is subject to possible change without notice.  Most programming starts around 10 in the morning and ends around 4, with a lunch break from 12 to 2.  Remember this is NOT a daycare, but a resource for small human fun.  Family members are responsible for their own children, at ALL times.

 

Wednesday July 30:

 

·         Very informal afternoon programming (setting up)

·         Casting for play "A Midsummer Night's Dream for Kids”

 

Thursday July 31:

 

·         Dragonflies, Bead faeries and Wands

·         Play practice; make flowers, crowns and wings

·         Drums and rattles for the fairy horde, add music to the play

·         Costumes for the King, Queen, Nobles, Elves, Faeries, Rustics, etc.

·         Swords and Shields!

 

Friday August 1:

 

·         Pipe cleaner faeries & pine cone elves; Green Man masks

·         11:00-ish - Ray's Reptiles!

·         Fairy Barbies! Elf Houses! Finish and try on crowns, wings, robes & things

·         Full Play run-through on the stage with costumes & face paint

 

Saturday August 2:

 

·         Lanterns (Fairy lights), satchels for treasures, elf-stones

·         Play practice with all the elements (lights, music, dance, costumes)

·         "Search for the Blackthorne King" Quest; Treasure hunt; Finding staves

·         Wizard staves, wood sprites on branches, final play polishing

 

·         Cast call for costumes & face paint

·         Performance of "A Midsummer Night's Dream for Kids" (on main stage)

 

Sunday August 3:

 

·         Informal morning, as it is "clean-up & clear-out" time!
